About

Vincent Baverso

A note from Vincent
When I was in the third grade, my teacher called my parents concerned that I was skipping recess in order to read novels in the stairwell. “A young boy should be running around and socializing not spending all day with his head in the clouds.” That would not be the last time I got in trouble for reading in school. Most of my school years were spent with a novel wedged between my lap and the desk.

Books and novels have always been an integral part to my life. My grade school friends and I bonded over Stephen King. My high school girlfriend and I spent plenty of nights and weekends at Borders or the library. When I was in college, my mom asked what I wanted for a birthday present, I wanted a reading chair. I cherish horrible, trash novels. They hold more significance to me than religious relics.

I wrote my first story when I was seven, but I had many years of He-Man action figure storylines as practice.  That first story was terrible, so were the next few dozen stories I wrote. But I got better over the years, I practiced and honed the craft. Writing allows me to share my deepest thoughts and dreams with you, the readers, and whether I have one reader or tens of millions, I will never stop writing, because that is who I am. Thank you for joining me on this trip. Enjoy.
